PROG-FOLK - 7-piece Magicfolk (Norfolk, UK) produce their own hauntingly beautiful and distinctive songs, blending folk, rock, celtic and prog-rock (and even a bit of jazz) with rich vocal harmonies and an assortment of instruments.
Magicfolk are leading purveyors of contemporary esoteric prog-folk: strong melodies and rhythms alternate with ambient harmonies in songs with folklore and mystic leanings.
They have been likened to Jethro Tull, Clannad, Dead Can Dance, Fairport Convention, Neil Young, Renaissance and Jefferson Airplane.
