Tassos Spiliotopoulos Quartet
Guitarist Tassos Spiliotopoulos is leading a creative, new group with Robin Fincker (Tenor Saxophone) Yaron Stavi (Bass) and Asaf Sirkis (Drums). The quartet came together to perform original music written by the leader and together they have developed a unique band sound that is expressive and imaginative. The group offers a melodic dark edged jazz that combines lyrical compositions with high energy improvising.
In their live shows, the quartet plays powerfully with fresh ideas and intelligent interplay while on record, the mood is both grooving and atmospheric, at times almost filmic. Their first album Wait for Dusk, with all original music, is released by Konnex Records.
